FSC Board Changes

Tuesday, February 07, 2012

FSC is delighted to have welcomed two outstanding new Board members recently.

As you may be aware, in the past few months two of FSC’s founding Board members have departed – Ray Tolhurst to take up a position on the Board of Hockey NSW, and Martin Littler to focus on the South Coast Wolves. Both Martin and Ray have been fantastic contributors to the challenging and complex start-up phase of FSC, and the Board extends its sincere gratitude for their efforts over the past few years.

As both Martin and Ray were appointed by FNSW, in each case the vacancy was advertised and potential candidates interviewed by our Chairman, Eddy de Gabriele, and representatives of Football NSW. We were delighted with the high quality of applicants, and the considerable interest shown in the roles. With both recruitment processes now complete, it is with great pleasure that we announce the following new directors:

Anne-Marie Balliana (commenced December 2011) – Anne-Marie is already known to many of you for her outstanding work with the IJFA over a number of years. As a professional accountant and auditor, Anne-Marie will focus on the Finance portfolio, and her skills and ability to contribute to broader strategic issues will be highly valued.

Bob Hennessy – (commenced January 2012) Bob is currently the president of Helensburgh, and his tenure there has seen extensive improvements in the unity and performance of the club. He has also played almost continuously since first registering in 1964. Bob also brings with him a wealth of high-level business experience and is currently the CEO of consulting firm BearingPoint.

Please join us in welcoming Anne-Marie and Bob to the FSC Board as we enter another exciting phase of our growth and development.
